Chima Anya “Higher Ground” by Chima Anya

higherground-front

And here it is…

Chima Anya “Higher Ground” (Zshare)

or

Chima Anya “Higher Ground” (sendspace)

So the ethos behind the mixtape is while it’s very much undergound music, it has the swagger and is affable enough to be commercially viable. This is highlighted in various parts of the mixtape where the jiggier end of the spectrum is juxtaposed with hardcore straight lop sided future electronic hiphop BANGINGNESS.

Also the next level hiphop producers represented throughout the mixtape are symbolic of the evolution of hiphop. It’s not underground music strictly, it’s not over ground music. It’s on a “higher ground”.

Feedback appreciated, always. Many thanks to all the producers for their inspiration and in some cases kind words of encouragement. Specific thank you’s to

Dizz1, B Bravo, Devon, Samiyam, DJ Spoon, Offkey, Shortee Blitz, Ras Kwame, Mary Anne Hobbes, DJ 279 and AK09.

Next track from upcoming mixtape from myself. Of note, a heated discussion over the track has erupted over at GrandGood

All I will say is I have spoken to Samiyam and he has absolutely no problem with the track. I’ll let you cats decide whether you feeling it or not.

I have showcased a lot of talented producers on this site. This is no exception and it’s a pleasure to throw this up. I’ve noticed that although there’s a lot of european producers getting attention on the “blogging universe” there isn’t enough attention on UK producers. So without further adue I present to you S-Type and Leatherface. Two very talented and producers hailing from Edinburgh, Scotland and London, England. They’ve teamed up to do a EP of remixes that i’m sure you’ll be druelling over when they hit your mp3 players.

The first being a remix of Keisha Cole track ‘Let it go’ …
